After a successful and busy Ibiza season she decided to share her memories with the audience in a brand new mixtape. In her words:

After three weeks spent in Ibiza and a hectic schedule of gigs i'd say this summer has definitely been my favourite to date! - 0913 aims to prolong those summer vibes with it's ibizan influence and includes a selection of beats that i've discovered (and have been loving!) over the past few months.

Featuring 24 house cuts from producers / artists such as My Nu Leng, Midland, Martin Ikin, Lil Silva, Crown Duels, Claude Von Stroke plus loads more.

John Digweed - Transitions 470 (Psycatron guestmix) (2013-08-29)

It is Friday which means that Budapest Bonkers has a lot to offer for you. Firstly, it's the start of the weekend and secondly I've got LOADS of fantastic mixes for you! Let's kick off with John Digweed's regular "Transitions" treatment which is a special one this week.

In the first hour Digweed offers the true Ibiza experience for those who didn't have the opportunity to taste it this summer: a liveset from his Café Mambo gig.

The second features the guestmix (as always): the Belfast-based duo of Dave Lievense and Paul Hamill or better known as Psycatron steps behind the decks. These guys could be considered veterans of house and techno music with releases on legendary labels like Little Mountain, Tronic and Tresor over the last 10 years. Of course let's not forget their releases on Bedrock and Bedrock Digital - they bring their trademark sound with mixing 15 tracks in one hour.

Nervé - Live @ SZIN 2013

It is really hard to say but the festival season seems to be over in our little homeland and the only thing left besides the bittersweet taste of summer memories is to relive the days in the sun somehow. One of BPB's favorite producers, Nervé thought about this great opportunity and recorded his set from last week - performed at SZIN where he played alongside electro menace Dave Scorp.

The mix itself features everything that a festival set needs  - huge amount of bass, dancefloor tearing tracks and a hint of the DJ's own production (this time its Nervé's own remix of Daft Punk's Robot Rock).

So just start nodding and enjoy!

FREE: Henrix - Heat

The EDM world is going to celebrate big time this weekend with New York's Electric Zoo Festival will open its gates tomorrow. We all know that excited feeling just one day before a major festival so it is perfectly natural to make some preparations.

This must have been on the mind of Miami-based Henrix who is now an aspiring name in the EDM industry with releases on Laidback Luke's Mixmash or Steve Angello's Size Records. Celebrating his gig at the Mainstage West this Saturday he decided to give away his brand new track - titled right after his hometown's basketball team.

This proggy electro monster will definately bring the heat to the dancefloors and now it's yours for free as well! Grab it and don't forget to show some love to Henrix too!

PREVIEW: StayFly pres. Endless Summer EP

The fact that StayFly Records is getting bigger and bigger over the last few months made me really proud, even though I'm not associated with the label. Seeing a Hungarian label going that up in the charts of house music is a unique thing especially when it comes to working with renowned producers like Him_Self_Her, Newbie Nerdz, Lars Moston and many others.

Being a huge fan of their releases it was a huge revelation for me to find the forthcoming Endless Summer EP which has all the attributes a DJ is looking for in a compilation.

Featuring 9 brand new, exclusive, high quality house tracks from both StayFly "veterans" and new names, the only negative thing rounding this EP is that we nearly have to wait a month for it - release date is scheduled for 19th September 2013. Until then, enjoy these previews from the likes of Haze-M, Rafael Cerato, Lessovsky and many more!

FREE: Queen - I Want to Break Free (Kovary disco re-edit)

Kovary's works were a regular feature on BPB earlier as he had tremendous contribution to the buildup of the Hungarian electro and moombah scene. His tracks always reminded me of Reset!'s turbofunk sounds as he always merges electro and disco perfectly.

This time he took the harder route - re-editing one of Queen's legendary songs.  The track was made to serve as a tribute to the legendary Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, whose 67th birthday will be celebrated worldwide next Thursday.

Further to fact that this is a free tune, don't forget next week's Freddie for a Day Party @ Corvintető where Kovary will also play a magnifying DJ set!

PARTY: NVC /w Stimming @ ChaChaCha (08/30, Friday)

One of the biggest names of the minimal tech house scene will going to pay a visit to Budapest this Friday - yep it's Hamburg-based Martin Stimming who is going to present his third studio album to the crowds at ChaChaCha. I bet that Stimming combining with the venue will bring up loads of summer memories so you shouldn't hesitate on this one.

Martin's self-titled third album saw a release on Solomun's legendary Diynamic Music back in June and already got support from almost all of the top jocks on the scene. The album is labeled as "haunting and mesmirizing with classical influences" so it will be a perfect fit for the new series called NVC Light.

If you would like to get a hint of what will you hear on Friday or you're new to Stimming's sounds here's a 1-hour taster for you from the man himself.

FREE: Fatboy Slim & Riva Starr - Eat Sleep Rave Repeat (Henry Fong bootleg)

Apparently it seems that Los Angeles has become the capital of EDM over the last months. I can remember the times when Steve Aoki, Peacetreaty and Autoerotique were leading the scene but nowadays talented producers are popping up everywhere. Yesterday I introduced you Party Favor, and now it's time for another true up-and-comer: Henry Fong.

Henry is not a newbie to the music industry with already having releases under his belt at labels like the forementioned Dim Mak, the Bingo Players' Hysteria imprint or Big Fish Recordings. In fact, he has already played along with the likes of Avicii, Thomas Gold or Laidback Luke.

Further to the celebration of his 20,000 Facebook fans he took one of the most demanded tracks of the Ibiza season and turned the catchy original into an EDM monster. Of course the mesmerizing vocals cannot be left out, he reworked the melody into an even more festival-fitting version (if that is possible). If you like the revamp, you can get it now for free, just check out Henry Fong on Facebook

PREVIEW: Patrick Topping - Any Amounts EP

Newcastle-based Patrick Topping is back to his newly founded "residency". After releasing a highly successful EP on sister label Hot Trax, the Englishman is now releasing on the big brother Hot Creations - Jamie Jones' label. Let's see what we have here!

A-side "Any Amounts" is getting hammered by Jamie Jones and crew, packed with stomping bass and ridiculously infectious top-lines, it's a simple and dangerously effective weapon to destroy the dancefloors. "The Point" moves into glitchier territories with another tough and raw bassline and old-school synths. On the flip we will find "Look Around" weaving provocative vocal clips with heavy bass, a disembodied chorus and syncopated beats. Last but not least Patrick pairs another breathless vocal sample for "In My" with a stripped back bumpin' house groove, arpeggiated synths and a subaqueous growl.

With his tracks gaining support from heavyweights like Franck Roger, Richy Ahmed and Darius Syrossian even before they were signed, it was only a matter of time for Patrick to broke into the limelight.

PATRICK TOPPING - ANY AMOUNTS EP

Tracklist:
01. Any Amounts
02. The Point
03. Look Around
04. In My

The Dante GBRL Podcast 009

We are reaching midweek when it is essential to have something you can hang onto. This is the main goal of my very own Dante GBRL Podcast. And we have also reached its 9th episode already. Well, OK, if you paid attention you could see that actually there is no 8th episode...the recording was made but it somehow lost on my HD but I wanted to keep up the mystery.

So here's the newest installation with some really heavy nudisco and house vibes. I think the tracklist really speaks for itself although I can't resist to mention three tracks. The opening track is the MK dub III of Storm Queen's "Look Right Through" which will rock the clubs in this season I bet. The next highlight I pick is the monstrous Severino remix of Funky Fat's "Jealousy" - recently released on Hot Creations. Also beware of Simion's remix of Ben Pearce - What I Might Do.

Listen, download, enjoy, share and show some love! :)

Stamusic - Mixtape '13 August

Enough with the track previews and reviews and let's get down to the business with mixtapes. First up, the Stamusic guys who are on a serious roll over the last few months. They have slowed down their sound, as their productions matured a lot and they have become household names when it comes to the nudisco and indie dance scene of Budapest.

Their August mixtape doesn't disappoint either. Laidback tunes, solid bassline and LOTS of guitars. The whole mix is a proper summer daydream while you recalling the moments you were sipping cocktails at some random summer festival on a random early afternoon while having a bit of hangover but you're still ready for the evening.

As we are reaching the last days of the summer, take your time and check out this mixtape - you'll definately not regret it!

FREE: Showtek feat. We Are Loud & Sonny Wilson - Booyah (Party Favor remix)

This one's going to be a really unique one: a few weeks ago I could have said that I'm absolutely not into trap and Showtek's work didn't appeal to me at all. First, "Booyah" arrived which is an absolute summer festival banger with some ridiculous synths and vocals. I kept thinking if it could get any better than this and then came the idea: let's browse for some free remixes.

And here we are right now: Dylan aka Party Favor from Los Angeles produced this monster compared to which the original seems like a solid warmup tune. With 4 different drops, each of them being harsher than the previous, this one will make some people scream at the forthcoming festivals for sure. By the way, it is already supported by the likes of Ookay and Kennedy Jones but I bet that the list will expand really soon.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the best part: it's totally free!

RELEASE: Betoko - I'm a Gin EP

Mexican rising star Betoko has been on fire lately, releasing numerous EPs and being labeled as "Sasha's favorite DJ" as well. He'll pay a visit to Budapest next month and I will get there really soon but right now let's focus on his latest EP, just got released today on Off Recordings.

The idea behind "I'm a Gin" was to revive the authentic retro-funky imagination vibe. The song contains elements of the song using the same stems from the original record: and all crafted in the same studio where imagination originally created all of their tracks, same compressors, keyboards and console creating the highest sonic quality sound.

On the flipside "U Got 2" has yet another killer clap disco groove with a romantic twist pairing up the dreamy bassline.

RELEASE: Qulinez - Drop It

After a few months of silence, the Swedish duo, Qulinez returns with another massive dancefloor-tearing party bomb, this time on the legendary Dim Mak imprint.

After the massive success of "Troll" last year (which was also a main element in tons of mashups, as "Stars Troll" even got a release on Ultra) and becoming a "resident" on Steve Angello's Size Records, "Drop It" is yet another festival anthem. However it does not feature the recently trending distorted kicks, the proggy bassline and melody makes up for the big rooms either.

Already supported by almost all of the top electro jocks, you can get it right HERE!

FREE: Lana Del Rey - Young & Beautiful (Kaskade remix)

Lana Del Rey's recent addition to the Hollywood movie "The Great Gatsby" saw various reworks throughout the summer. I have to say that the Cedric Gervais remix represents really high standards, yet another American producer give it a go.

Yep, I'm talking about man-of-the-moment Kaskade, whose remix of "Young & Beautiful" seen the daylight a few months ago. Unfortunately a ripped version has been going around the interwebs therefore Kaskade decided to release the properly mastered version for free.

Usually he shares his own free mashups on Mondays but yesterday was different: the remix is now legally free and properly mastered. Check it, download, play it out and show some respect to Kaskade!

RELEASE: George Vala - Let Me Tell You EP

Fresh from releasing Kaiserdisco’s second album, Meet Me On The Floor, KD Music now return with a huge summer anthem from George Vala. The Let Me Tell You EP features two fresh dancefloor cuts from the New York based producer who brings a straightforward club vibe slap bang into the middle of your summer.

“Let Me Tell You” is succulent a deep house record with a cool, relaxed vibe that perfectly compliments the summer sun. Vala’s vast experience with a myriad of musical genres is at play throughout the track, merging the exotic steel drums and the underground basslines to sublime effect. The effervescent vocals from Tunde Olaniran add even more personality into a track that is destined to soundtrack countless hangouts at BBQ’s, terraces, gardens and verandas over the coming months.

French producer Darlyn Vlys expands on the diverse sound with his two reworks of the track. His dub mix has a jazz-like composition that feels at once unrehearsed and lusciously deep. Stretched synths and distorted piano keys give the rework a classic shine as the infectious basslines make it unmistakably of today. For his vocal mix, Vlys simplifies the music and allows Olaniran’s engaging vocal performance to lead the way.

PREVIEW: Digitalism - Lift EP

The Lift EP will be a remarkable release for Digitalism not just for the reason that they collaborated for the first time on these tracks, but it also marks a return to the label that helped introduce them to international dance floors - Kitsuné Records. It may feel like a homecoming, but Lift continues to break new ground for Digitalism. The duo deliberately carved out long-stretches of studio time over the past twelve months to work on some collaborations.

Collaborations are a rarity for the pair, but the new EP features three tracks and three collaborators – The M Machine, Steve Duda and Michael Diamond. The forthcoming release will be a taste of what Digitalism are capable of, but in this instance they wrote within the confides of the Dance Floor but with the expanse and freedom of collaborating with other artists to try and see how far they could push their sound.

The EP opens with the title track "Lift", a collaboration with The M Machine. This is a rhythmic melodic classic, layering synths with diced vocal samples a plenty to give this track an undeniable and upbeat, dance anthem feel.

"Dudalism", a collaboration with electronic wizard Steve Duda, glows with the ethereal vibes of a night about to take off into madness.

Rounding out the EP is the darker "Electric Fist", which Michael Diamond has lent his talents to; it’s all dark synth play, vocal chops and pulsating distortion.

Here's a minimix of the EP from the guys themselves, release date is set for 23th September 2013!

RELEASE: Claptone feat. Jaw - No Eyes remixes

For one of the biggest deep house tracks of the year, German newcomer Claptone teamed up with dOP vocalist Jaw to deliver "No Eyes" back in March. A few months gone since then, the track became absolutely huge and got supported by almost all of the top jocks - even being "Essential New Tune" on Pete Tong's Essential Selection. However, I still felt a bit of hiatus, but now it's over: the remixes arrived!

It is absolutely hard to pick one track from this really strong package:  Art Department, Mickey, Kyodai, Doctor Dru and Bakermat all did their best to squeeze out something new from the original while still keeping that sensational mellow vibe.

I'm pretty sure that we will hear them A LOT during those autumn club nights!

Release date is set for 26th August 2013.

PREVIEW: Kryder - Aphrodite

Axwell's Axtone imprint has been really busy lately by releasing Marcus Schössow's "Reverie" (along with a Michael Calfan remix) and the head honcho's "Center of the Universe" but it seems like that Ax just simply cannot stop releasing big room anthems.

For the latest release in an unprecedented release schedule, the label welcomes yet another fresh face in Kryder and his tribal barnstormer "Aphrodite".

"Aphrodite" has had an interesting route to release with Kryder almost scrapping the song altogether… roll forward 6 months and Swedish House Mafia debuted the single at their "Black Tie Rave" followed by support throughout Miami Music Week from Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso & Thomas Gold.

Since 2011 Kryder has made serious strides in the industry following "K2" released on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom label subsequently releasing "Vyper" on CR2 with a further single penned for release on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings. This is not Kryder’s first exchange with Axwell, having remixed (alongside Tom Staar) Swedish House Mafia’s "Don’t You Worry Child" but "Aphrodite" is anything to go by it won’t be the last time we hear from  the "visor-wearing" wonder that is Kryder.

Release date is set for 2nd September 2013 - just one week away!

UPDATE: as a bonus, here's Kryder's liveset from Kitty Su in New Delhi, India! Enjoy!

Avicii feat. Aloe Blacc - Wake Me Up revisions

Well, the summer has almost gone and it is about time to reignite the BPB blog. What could be a better thing to post here than one of the most popular tracks of the summer? Yea, I know that some of you will go mad about this, but I'm trying to keep it as good as possible. Let's throw the whole country thing out on the window and check out these massive reworks, re-edits, re-whatsoevers that made this tune even one of my favorite tracks of the last 3 months!

Mr. EDX from Switzerland is not a new name to house and electro fans who are following the scene in the last years. He's pumping out releases all the time while having gigs at the biggest festivals and at Ibiza as well. He couldn't resist to work the more than radio friendly original into a dancefloor tearing monster with ejecting some monstrous chords inside. Too bad, it's only a preview so far, but I bet that this will be out for free really soon!

Watch out, because this one is really hot and new! Hungarian up-and-comer Exetfail delivers his quality sound yet again with revamping the track and waking you up on a much harder note than the original. You definately don't want to miss this one, it's a freebie!

The third one is a bit of surprise, since it is a mashup from Berlin-based Dirty Decks. I've recently discover his works and I have to say that I really liked it even though I'm not that EDM-orientated like I used to. He mashed up the original with French supergroup Reepublic's "Turn Off The Light" and the result speaks for itself. Free tune alert!
